February
3rd, 2009
Just got back from Avalon, NJ where I was presenting at the 3rd
annual PhillyFIT Wellness Retreat, and man was it powerful!
The positive energy there is intoxicating…the
support is overwhelming and the guidance the attendees get from
the ‘experts’…starts to finally ’sink in’.
In fact, it sinks in SO much, that
the attendees really feel empowered to change themselves and their
lives for the better.
You can see it…
You can feel it…
You can sense it in EVERY possible way…
It’s hard for me to explain the
true scope of this event, but it’s a great thing to be a part of.
And it’s even greater to see the impact it has on people’s lives.
A BIG Thank You to Jami Appenzeller-Yancey,
publisher of PhillyFIT Magazine and creator of the event, for wanting
me to a part of her expert panel!
I loved being a part of it for the
second time and was happy to fulfill whatever role I could in the
process of any of the attendees progress.
It’s extremely satisfying and humbling
all at the same time.
Here are some pictures of the incredible
event:
Here I am, along with the Retreat
team, going through some dynamic warm-up drills prior to doing the
high performance agility workout prepared by Julius King. Great
job Julius!

That’s the Retreat practitioners and the attendees going through
a workout with my friend and colleague John Fairchild.

Here’s John again, who is a nutritionist and was a professional
chef for years, preparing lunch with the rest of the Retreat nutritionist
and chef team: Susie Beiler, Claudine Ascher and Joanna Chodorowska.

And here’s John Fairchild in the kitchen yet AGAIN, along with Jami
in the background offering up some food and the rest of the Retreat
crew, as John delivers an impromptu healthy cooking lesson for us
as we all helped prepare dinner for that evening.

(Much Kudos to John for designing the week’s menu and preparing
some of the healthiest, tastiest and visually appealing food I have
EVER eaten! Before we all left the Retreat to come home, we actually
all gave John a HUGE round of applause and standing ovation for
a job that was phenomenally well-done on his part. THANKS again
John!)
And Thanks again to the entire Retreat
crew of practitioners and attendees.
Another job well done guys!
Looking forward to NEXT year!
